Trent Foxley is the Director of the Office of Quality Compliance (OQC)and the Office of Foreign Influence (OFI), within the Office of Research Integrity and Compliance (ORIC).

The OQC works to facilitate ethical, efficient, and high-quality research, and protect overall data integrity. The OQC provides guidance, education and resources to research teams and scholars across the University to promote the responsible conduct of research.

Frances Sebahar is a Research Compliance Associate in the Office of Quality Compliance (OQC). She has worked in research since 2014 and has widespread experience in all facets of clinical research. As part of the OQC, Frances supports research teams across campus in accessing resources and education materials to encourage high quality research.

Maryse Brulotte, BPharm, DESS, CCRA is the Director of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance at the University of Utah School of Medicine Data Coordinating Center (DCC).

The DCC coordinates complex multicenter registries, observational studies, and randomized clinical trials. For more than a decade, the DCC has supported over a dozen research networks in both adult and pediatric populations. Maryse is responsible for developing/standardizing and implementing regulatory compliant processes that improve efficiency and quality of the DCC’s business operations.

Masha Boguslavsky is a Research Compliance Education Specialist in the Department of Internal Medicine Clinical Trials Unit (CTU)

The CTU serves as a central resource for investigators and study staff involved in clinical trials research. Masha oversees the research compliance and education/training program for the IM clinical research staff and provides regulatory assistance/guidance to study teams.

Vanessa Bryant is the Manager of Clinical Trial Financial Operations for the Department of Pediatrics and oversees clinical trial finances for all studies across the Department.

Vanessa has worked in research since 2012 and has extensive experience in clinical research financial management including budget development, industry negotiations, and clinical research billing compliance.

Michelle Adams is the Quality and Safety RN for the Clinical Research Unit (CRU) of the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI). The CTSI’s Clinical Research Unit (CRU) provides resources to enhance the safety, quality, and efficiency of human subject clinical research. The CRU provides access to research space and research nurse expertise. The CRU works with research teams to obtain desired outcomes/data, maintain research integrity, and provide participants with a safe, exceptional patient experience.

Carrie Bailey is a Sr. Clinical Research Manager in the Dept. of Pediatrics, Division of Medical Genetics with over 20 years of experience, specializing in the conduct of industry-sponsored, NIH-funded, and investigator-initiated trials (IITs). 

Our office is focused on enhancing the lives of adults and children with rare genetic disorders with new treatments.  We have participated in the approval of 10 new drugs for Genetic Diseases.

The RIO is responsible for handling allegations of research misconduct, fostering the responsible conduct of research (RCR) through training and education, and promoting other activities that encourage research integrity and discourage research misconduct and other detrimental research practices.
